The room was quite warm when we arrived because of Ireland’s unusually hot weather, but after we called, someone drove a big fan over within an hour. The bed was extremely comfortable, and the room had everything we needed, even though it looked dated and less fresh than the photos. It’s about a 30 minute walk to Belfast centre. We enjoyed seeing other parts of the city along the way, and there’s also a bus stop about a minute away with a direct service to the centre and back. I’d definitely come back if I return to Belfast :)

The bugs were the biggest issue. Even with the measures in place to keep them out, I saw quite a few in the bathroom and then in the bedroom. Staff tried several times to fix it, but they kept coming back. There’s no daily housekeeping, and I’m not sure whether housekeeping is even on site. There’s also a free washing machine, but no dryer. The room itself was nice and mostly clean, and there are lots of places to eat nearby. I only dealt with the friendly virtual staff by phone and email, and they replied promptly. Would I try it again? Honestly, yes, though I’d probably ask for another room, maybe in a different building. Would I recommend it to someone else? Maybe.

It was comfortable enough and close to everything we needed. The room was quite small, and we could hear every footstep from whoever was staying above us. It was mostly clean, though there were some flying bugs and I got a few bites. The shower also leaked out under the door.

The pillows had seen better days, and during our Saturday-to-Wednesday stay nobody came to bring clean towels or empty the bins. I didn’t mind using the kitchen bin, but it was full, with bags left around it. The heavy fire doors shut very quickly and people let them slam. I’m sure we did sometimes too, so some soft rubber to quiet them could help. We booked a double deluxe for Valentine’s, but I wouldn’t call it deluxe. We were in room one, which felt very small for two people getting ready. The TV was in the wrong spot, wouldn’t swivel, and was hard to watch when the makeup mirror was on. The bedside table was wobbly and its drawer broken, and the little armchair wasn’t sturdy enough to sit in, so it became a clothes stand. I’d use the place again for a quick stop, but not a longer stay.
