The new owners have really done the place good, it needed the change. Staff were friendly, and the smell of food when you walk in was unreal. We came for Sunday lunch. The mash was buttery and lovely, and the huge homemade Yorkshire puddings were great. The chicken was a bit tough, though, and there wasn't a vegetarian option for my wife, so I can't give it five stars. We'll come back and try the midweek menu.

They let us check in even though we were late, which we really appreciated. The room was nice and properly clean, with tea and coffee, a kettle, and a well-stocked modern TV. Couldn't fault the place. Thanks.

The food was good, and the portions were generous, though I forgot to take photos. The staff were friendly and efficient, and the location was great. We didn't stay overnight, but I'd recommend it to visitors.

I haven't stayed at the hotel, just visited the bar. Good range of drinks, friendly staff, and a cosy feel with a couple of fires going and music on. They serve food regularly too, and it's amazing. Looking forward to coming back!

Had a lovely first overnight stay here. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and there was plenty of tea and coffee, plus shower gel and fluffy towels in the bathroom. The staff were really helpful and happy to do anything we needed. I'll definitely stay again.
