The bus stop is right outside, and most buses go into the town centre. There are lots of nearby shops, and breakfast was good, with tea or coffee, toast, cereal and pain au chocolat to choose from. The room was lovely and we had a nice stay, though it was always too hot. The heater ran on a timer we couldn’t switch off, and the lovely lady was hard to reach when we needed her.

We were happy with our choice. Edinburgh accommodation is expensive, so this felt like good value for money. The hostess was lovely, and the rooms were a bit old-fashioned. Breakfast was basic to poor. You can walk to the centre, and buses from the nearby stop make the trip easy too. You get what you pay for.

During the Edinburgh Fringe, this B&B cost quite a bit, but the room was a tiny small double and the whole place felt old and drab. The TV was mounted three metres up the wall, and you had to move around the shower to get wet. I personally wouldn’t recommend staying longer than one night.

It’s very close to Arthur's seat, and walking into town is doable. The service was friendly. Our four-person room was large, too much space for the two of us as a couple. There were no complimentary toiletries. Breakfast was poor: cereal, yogurt, toast, tea and coffee, with nothing warm, not even the toast.

The manager was very nice, and the location worked well, with a direct bus from the centre and the conference centre nearby. Our room and bed were comfortable. The shower didn’t drain properly. Breakfast wasn’t fancy, but it was decent.
