Of the six B&Bs I stayed at while travelling around Scotland, this one was easily my favourite. My room was clean, lovely, and comfortable, with plenty of space to unwind. They'd thought through the little details too, like the power strip by the bedside table with two USB ports. That was so useful with all my gadgets to charge. It was a quiet neighbourhood, which made for a good night's sleep, and I liked that it wasn't packed with tourists. Buses to the Old Town stop across the street. Linda and Ken were lovely to chat with, and so were the other guests. Breakfast was generous as well. I'd come back in a heartbeat if I'm in Edinburgh again.

We enjoyed the walk to most of the sights, about a mile, even in the rain, and there are also three bus lines right there. The hosts were gracious, and our small room was clean and pretty, with a comfortable bed and pillows. Great location, and breakfast was plentiful and delicious.

Breakfast was delicious, and the room and bed were comfortable. This was a fantastic B&B with a lovely hostess, close to everything in Edinburgh. The bus stop right outside was handy. Would definitely recommend it.

We stayed upstairs in a room with its own bathroom, and the food was a full five out of five. Linda and Ken were lovely hosts and made everything pleasant. It's close to all the city's attractions, and I'd recommend staying here.

Ken and Linda made us feel very welcome. The Bield is well placed for the city centre, with buses nearby, and was excellent.
