Destiny Scotland - Hill Street Apartments

I’m very disappointed. My flight was missed because of an unexpected travel issue, and I promptly told the property. I asked for a reasonable solution and was willing to pay for at least one night even though I couldn’t use the full stay. They refused outright and showed no willingness to find a compromise. I understand cancellation rules, but in a situation like that I expected some common sense and customer care. Neither was there. The rigid response left a very negative impression, and I wouldn’t recommend the property, especially if something goes wrong with your plans.

The New Town location made it easy to get around, with shops, restaurants and bus stops close by. The apartment was roomy and had everything we needed for a longer stay.

We had plenty of room for the five of us, with a generous living room, lots of daylight and a kitchen stocked with the basics for making a simple meal. The updated appliances were a nice touch. Getting in was straightforward, though finding the parking spot was tricky on my first drive in Edinburgh. I called the contact number at 17:30, after hours, and someone answered right away and patiently helped me locate it. Hill street apartments are right in the middle of the New City, with loads of good places to eat nearby. The walk to the castle and royal mile took about 15-20 minutes, uphill, but it was easy enough. A great base for two adults and three kids, and I'd happily stay again.

After a full day out in Edinburgh, it was lovely to come back to these flats. The beds were especially comfortable, the towels fluffy, and everything was in excellent shape and spotless. New Town is a peaceful, pleasant area with what you need nearby, and the train station is about a 20-minute walk away. Highly recommended.
