Malmaison Edinburgh City

We celebrated a special occasion with dinner at Malmaison City Brasserie on 28.04.2026, and were so glad we chose it for our first visit. The atmosphere was beautiful, and we couldn’t have asked for more. Morgan, Brasserie Manager, served us and showed outstanding knowledge of the food and drinks. They checked throughout the meal that we were having a great experience. The service was exceptional from start to finish, and it was clear the staff genuinely care about their guests. We felt like VIPs. Thanks again for a great evening, we’ll definitely be back.

Mac served us during a lovely afternoon tea with friends for our 40th anniversary. He was excellent, professional, and a credit to the company. The food and service were excellent too. I’d like the company to know he deserves praise. We’ll be back, especially after this experience.

The meals, cocktails, and drinks at Chez Mal brasserie restaurant and bar were superb. The restaurant was very careful about gluten-free options for my partner and catered for all allergies. The staff were welcoming, polite, and knowledgeable, and as always, the service and stay at Malmaison were great. I love the brand’s bold, beautiful decor and dark rooms, which make it feel distinctive and quirky. It’s in an excellent spot in Edinburgh city centre, with street parking outside or a multi-storey car park nearby. Always a great stay at a Malmaison, highly recommended.

The staff were kind and attentive, and everything about the location, service, and price worked well for me. I booked just an hour before arriving after deciding against the hostel I was meant to check into. Even over the holiday and at such short notice, the rate was surprisingly low. I stayed from the 23rd to the 27th, really enjoyed it, and would recommend it to anyone coming to Edinburgh. I’d use their locations in other cities too.
