The Frederick House Hotel

The location worked well, close to both the Old Town and Dean Village. The rooms felt a little dated, and the bathroom could use renovation. The bed was quite small for two, even though we’re not tall, around 160-170 cm. They provided a baby cot for our 10-month-old, which was good. If you’re visiting from Europe, you’ll need a plug adapter, though reception can provide one if needed.

The staff were friendly and helpful, and the location made getting around easy while still feeling peaceful. Our room was clean, spacious, and wonderfully quiet, which made the trip relaxing. We had a wonderful stay, and I’d highly recommend the hotel. I’ll definitely be back.

Getting around was easy, with Waverley Station about a 10-minute walk away and a tram stop nearby. The downside was the room: it stayed far too warm even in November, and with the windows open for air there was a lot of noise, probably from the plumbing or drains when toilets were flushed.

The room was spacious and clean, and the staff were always around and helpful. It’s in a quiet area with restaurants and a convenience store close by. There’s an elevator and luggage storage, though the storage room can be opened by anyone with a key, including staff and guests. The bathtub was a little awkward to climb in and out of.
