These are studio flats, with a sleeping area, built-in kitchen and bathroom. There are different options for one person or up to three. The staff are kind and helpful, and the place is kept clean. Prices vary depending on when you book. It’s right in the city centre, so it can get lively on weekends. Good for parties, though I’d be cautious about bringing little children.

The staff room door kept slamming every 20-30 minutes, and we could hear it through the night. We raised it the next morning and were told security staff were responsible and would be informed, but the same thing happened the following night. On our first night, we got back to our ground-floor room at 00:30 and barely slept. The windows were awful for soundproofing, so we heard everything outside, from people passing by to music from nearby bars. The blinds might as well not have been there. Once the sun came up, the room was so bright it woke us after the little sleep we’d managed. The kitchen area had no bowls, pans or oven trays, so we couldn’t use it properly. Our “single bed” was a cheap leather sofa that folded out, and it was the most uncomfortable thing I’ve ever lain on. It left my back hurting, while our friends in other rooms had proper single beds. I emailed to ask for a refund but the company hasn’t replied. I’m disgusted with the service and the room, and I’ll never stay at this “hotel” again.

Reception was great and the room was good too, with no complaints there. But they kept my deposit over a broken table that was already there. I’ve contacted the property a few times and heard nothing back. As a student, losing my deposit was a nasty surprise. So if you want your money taken, enjoy booking :)

The staff were excellent, and the rooms were very clean and nicely presented. The location is great too. But the rooms are much smaller than they make them sound. In our room, one window was cracked and another had a broken seal and wouldn’t close. The built-in fridge was very close to the bed in such a small room, and its noise kept me awake, though that isn’t the hotel’s fault. The broken window also meant the seagulls screaming all night kept us awake. Check the windows in room 65.
