Jay was there on time and available whenever I needed anything, which I appreciated. The rooms are very cheap for central London, and it's only a short walk to Liverpool street station and Aldgate. The bed was clean, as were the towels, and they provide complimentary tea and coffee. The apartment is functional, like a typical student shared flat, so don't expect anything fancy. The shower has plenty of hot water, but only if you fit. Definitely not for big people, or even normal people.

The room was nice enough for the price, and the host was very welcoming. The extension didn't quite work, though it should be an easy fix. My main issue was the noise around the location and the vibrations from the apartment and upstairs, which made the window shake. Still, this was an absolute bargain for a quick one-night stay. Thanks, Rob!

For a London stay the price was good, but the bed and the pictures on booking need changing, and the basic furniture should be checked before guests arrive. The bed was really uncomfortable and almost broken, and the cleanliness was approximate. The only bed Lamp didn't work. They offered to wait for someone to fix it, but our stay was too short to wait, so it was a pity this hadn't been checked beforehand. There was also a constant beep from the fire alarm, like when its battery is low. It was really annoying and made the stay even less comfortable. Staff said it should be fixed soon, but we wouldn't know. Two stars for the price, of course.

The room was clean, the bedding clearly fresh, and the towels were clean too. It had a bed, lamp, wardrobe, drawers, desk and chair, TV, plus a fan. It was functional, like other reviews say, more like shared accommodation, which is what I expected from a guest house. The bathroom and kitchen are shared with only two other rooms. We didn't run into the other residents, and the walls were thick enough that we hardly heard them. The kitchen had everything you might need, tea and coffee, cups, maybe plates though I didn't look, a washing machine, kettle, fridge, freezer and microwave. There's a sofa too. The bathroom stayed clean. There are unique codes for both the shared living space and our own bedroom. The owners are nice, the room does what it needs to, and everything was clean. The location is convenient, with several tube stations a few minutes away and McDonald's, greggs, tescos, coop, urban outfitters and others within a seven-minute walk. People mention the area being sketchy, but I didn't find anyone intimidating while walking around, just a bit of busy activity outside. We were staying on the day of a street fair. There are three locked password doors to get to the room, and we could barely hear the fair from inside, only if we paid attention. The staff were really friendly and available by phone at any hour, and they communicated kindly by text and call. We're here for two nights, but I'm writing this after one because I've been pleasantly surprised.
