There’s a bus stop right outside the entrance, and the place is easy to find, though the Tube station is about a ten-minute walk away. I’d read plenty of negative reviews and was nervous at check-in, but the room was clean and had enough space not to feel cramped. It’s equipped with all the appliances you might need for a short stay. A few, especially the lights and microwave, could be easier to operate.

The staff were friendly, and the apartments were very clean and well furnished, though smaller than they looked in the photos. We couldn’t pay in cash when we arrived, which was unfortunate. Since we were abroad, paying by card meant considerable charges. Still, it was great accommodation, and I’d stay again.

Room 418 was spacious and had everything we could need, including a dishwasher, oven and grill, washer-dryer, hairdryer, and iron and ironing board. We were kindly upgraded on arrival, and both the room and ensuite were clean and comfortable. The staff are friendly and professional. There’s a bus stop outside the building next door. I’d recommend it.

The staff were friendly and helpful, but the room was a letdown. Before anything else, I was bothered to learn at check-in about a £100 pre-authorization. That should be made clear before arrival. We were first given a stuffy room on the second floor that smelled strongly of smoke and had a cigarette burn on the nightstand. I thought I was going to be sick, so I asked to change rooms. The one next door didn’t smell of smoke, but was still tiny, shabby, and nothing like the misleading online photos. The bathroom was spacious, though the tiles were coming apart and could have cut someone. A table and chairs were crammed into a spot with no room to pull them out, and chair scuffs marked the dingy walls. The bed was the hardest I’ve ever slept on, just like another reviewer said. You also have to leave your key card in a socket to turn on the lights. Being right above the trash bins was the last straw. Finding the hotel itself was easy.

We used Tower Bridge London Apartments as a base for seeing London and the surrounding area, and found the location really convenient. Many attractions are a short walk away, and there are bus stops nearby, as well as Tower Hill and London Bridge stations within walking distance. City Mapper was handy for getting public transport information. Our self-catering room was neat, clean, and had everything we needed. The staff were consistently professional and helpful. Angel deserves a special mention; he went out of his way to make us comfortable, and his welcoming smile and kind manner were lovely. When we come back to London, this will be our first choice.
