Premier Inn London Richmond

Most of the staff are friendly and helpful, and I’ve usually had fine service on previous visits. This stay was a real disappointment, though, and I’m not sure I’ll keep coming back unless things improve. The towels were badly stained, possibly with blood or some other dark substance. As a Premier Inn housekeeper myself, I know they shouldn’t be used for guests. I left my Fire TV stick plugged into the TV after staying the night before, but when we returned later that day it was gone. They put us back in the same room to check, but it wasn’t there. I’m certain I left it behind, and felt there was little urgency in trying to find it, even though it should have gone into lost property. I had to follow up too. The kettle also had scale at the bottom and clearly hadn’t been descaled. Apart from this, I had no other issues.

We had a very good stay and will come again. Sneddon set a great example as manager, and Nish and Daniela were helpful too. At breakfast, staff checked that everyone was happy and kept topping up the food, which tends to get dry. The rooms were clean, though housekeeping could pay more attention to dust and mugs with water marks. Dinner was good, and Alex and Giovanna made sure everyone felt at ease. The welcome from the staff was great.

The room was spacious and clean, and the bathroom was a good size too. It was spotless apart from a stray hair in the bath. The facilities were just what you’d expect and had everything needed. Parking on site was great, and a friendly man at reception helped us register the car. When we got back later, using self check-in was quick and easy. A pleasant stay, and one of many I’ve had with Premier Inns.

We felt safe at the hotel, and the staff we met over several days were all friendly and welcoming. The room was fresh, clean, and roomy, with twin beds, a little table and chairs, an opening window, TV, somewhere to hang and store clothes, and a bathroom. The air conditioning wasn’t especially powerful, but it was a welcome extra. Breakfast had cooked food plus cereal and fruit. The selection wasn’t huge, but there was enough to get us through the day. Bus stops are practically outside, making it easy to get around or reach the train and tube station. Richmond town is also within walking distance if you’re able to walk.
