Gorgeous Stylish Cheri Victorian House In Manchester

There’s free street parking, and the beds were clean, comfortable, and came with nice pillows. But the toilets weren’t clean, and the shower area was clogged. The place was noisy, with creaking floors and stairs. Our room was freezing when we arrived. The host said the heating usually comes on after 8pm, but it was switched off again at 7am, which was difficult with our two very young children. Next time we visit Manchester, we’ll stay somewhere else.

We couldn’t get even an hour of sleep all night. No one told me how to get into the building or connect to the Wi-Fi, so I had to work it out myself. The mattress was awful. We could feel every spring in our backs, and the ceiling creaked so much I thought the lamp might fall. I have video recordings of that. We could hear and feel every step upstairs, and the family above us was walking around their room until 7 a.m. The plasterboard walls let through everything from that room too. The thin curtains let in the light, and people outside could see in. For this price, I at least expected somewhere to sleep comfortably. It was a nightmare. I wish I’d seen a review like this beforehand, and I hope this helps improve the building and lets others know what to expect. Pay a little more and stay at Britannia hotel in city centre.

It’s an okay place that does the job. The rooms are clean, with a TV and a nice bathroom, and getting around is easy even though the area isn’t great. The walls are paper thin. People upstairs were incredibly loud, though that wasn’t their fault. Bring earplugs for the first couple of hours. In the morning, footsteps and talking kept us awake.

There’s a good-sized room, and the kitchen, laundry facilities, and iron were handy. The washroom was just okay, and the house was very noisy. You can hear footsteps upstairs as clearly as if someone were next to you. That’s a problem for someone like me who gets distracted easily by noise. The environment was good otherwise.
