Glenview Guest House

We came back for our second year and found it very clean again. Nothing is too much trouble, and there’s plenty to choose from at breakfast. It’s also well placed, not too far from the amenities. 👌

After a long day, the comfortable bed was very welcome. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, and while the shower and toilet were shared, that didn’t bother us. There’s free parking and breakfast is available. Morven, the hostess, is brilliant, welcoming and very accommodating. I’d highly recommend this B&B in Oban.

We stayed three nights and were sorry to leave. It’s a pleasant change from the popular branded hotels, with a homely feel that makes you feel welcome. It’s not modern, but it has all the amenities you need, with helpful little notes dotted around. The bed was comfortable and creaky, and we slept very well. It’s a steady 15-minute walk to the centre, with off-road parking and a lovely breakfast. The host is a kind, wonderful lady who keeps things simple, asks what time you’d like breakfast, and checks if there’s anything she can help with during your stay.

Morven was a lovely hostess and even let me leave my luggage the next day until I was ready to catch my bus home. Breakfast was lovely, with a good range of continental and cooked options. My room was small but very clean and comfortable. Glenview is about a 10-minute walk from the town centre. I’ll stay again when I return to Oban.
