The room and bathroom were immaculate, the bed was comfortable, and the Inn was very quiet. We stayed in room 1 in September 2025, with a lovely bay view of ferries going by and even a really big cruise ship. Iain was kind and incredibly responsive. Breakfast was very basic, continental, and I could have done with a couple more towels, including a flannel or washcloth. Also, the booking system's messaging app didn't email us the check-in information, so we weren't sure what to do until another guest explained it. Even so, this is a wonderful place to stay and I strongly recommend it.

Tall windows looked out over Oban bay from our comfortable, beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean room. It was a perfect stay. If the twin double with sea view is available, book it, and the other sea view rooms are likely lovely too.

Our room was spacious, with lots of thoughtful touches that made it feel welcoming. The owners have clearly put effort into making the guest experience better than expected. Witchwood House is also reasonably priced, especially given the easy walk to downtown and those beautiful waterfront views. We loved staying there, and only wish we'd had more time. My husband said he never wanted to leave, which is high praise. I'd recommend Witchwood House for a stay in Oban without hesitation.

Beautiful views, a short walk from the heart of Oban, and the place was super clean and tastefully appointed. I can't find anything to say against it. My wife and I had fun reading the one-star reviews of hotels we passed on our walk back after dark, most of which cost more than Witchwood House. We couldn't fit in breakfast because of our schedule, so I can't comment on it. Don't hesitate, book it.

Our top-floor room had a bay view, and it was worth every pound and pence. The whole place was spotless and so well maintained it looked as if the renovations had finished just last week. I especially liked the detail in the stair railing leading to our room. We didn't meet the owners until checkout, but they made sure every part of the stay was just how we wanted it. The whisky welcome tray in the room was a particularly nice touch.
