Botley Town House

I was glad I’d brought my portable lock, because otherwise I’d have felt really unsafe. The place isn’t that expensive, but I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. The room was disgusting, with mold, spiderwebs, dust, and hairs. The bathroom sink was clogged and the toilet had stains left by previous guests. The outside didn’t look inviting and seemed not to have been cared for in a long time. The hallway and kitchen were simple and filthy.

Clean as nip, with a reasonably comfortable bed. It was excellent value for money, easy to book and access, and will be my go-to stopover in Oxford in the future.

The location is pretty good, around 15 minutes from the centre. We had a small but quite nice room, and check-in is self-service. There’s a shared kitchen with different things you can use for breakfast, and a nice garden behind the bulding.

The owner of BOTLEY TOWN HOUSE never provided the access details, and I couldn’t reach anyone through any of the channels they gave me. I ended up booking emergency accommodation while walking around Oxford in the rain. They didn’t reply to any of my later calls or emails either. DO NOT BOOK BOTLEY TOWN HOUSE. Avoid this accommodation.
