Old Abbey House Hotel

This was my second time at the Old Abbey House Hotel, and by coincidence I was in the same room as before. It was spotlessly clean, nicely furnished, and comfortable. Having its own heating thermostat meant I could set the temperature I wanted. The location ticks all the boxes, with nearby facilities within walking distance. Check-in is fully automated, so I didn't interact with any staff and can't really rate the service. I'd happily stay again.

We stayed at Old Abbey House to visit our son, and the suite was charming, with a beautiful garden view. The hotel and room were peaceful, and the location was ideal, just a few steps from the town center. Service was top notch. Staff emailed me each day to check that everything about our stay was going well, and it was. It's a real hidden gem, and I'd happily stay again.

We spent our wedding weekend here and had an amazing time. Keira was helpful from my very first enquiry and arranged lovely finishing touches that we're grateful for. All the rooms we booked were excellent, spacious, and had lovely views over the Abbey gardens. We'll definitely return, especially for our anniversaries.

The self check-in was straightforward, and the town centre is an easy walk away with plenty of places to eat and drink. It works well for a room-only stay. I’ve visited Old Abbey House regularly and tried a few rooms, including some lovely suites I’d happily recommend. Each one has been comfortable, clean, and well equipped. Keira and Tina are friendly and helpful, and quick to answer questions. Their service makes each visit feel personal.
