The Garden Lodge

We loved this little lodge, and our puppy was even happier there. The hosts have done a fantastic job creating a quiet little haven, with lots to see and do nearby and a lovely pub just 1 minutes walk away. We'll be going back.

We had an excellent stay and will definitely be back. It's a great base for exploring or just relaxing, with an excellent pub minutes away. The place is spotlessly clean, roomy enough for two people and a dog, and has a big private garden for a sunny day. There are fish in the pond, plus a little stream and bridge. The owners are nearby if you need them, but leave you to yourselves. The main road can get a bit noisy, and you have to cross it to reach the pub, but that was a very minor downside and didn't spoil our stay.

The enclosed garden was stunning, and our dog loved exploring the stream. Inside, the lodge was spotlessly clean and had all we needed, from a well-equipped kitchen with a fridge freezer to plenty of crockery, glasses and cutlery. Washing up liquid, a dish cloth, tea towels, coffee, tea, sugar and biscuits were provided too. The bed was very comfortable and warm, with good quality linen. The bathroom had a bath and hand shower, as there wasn't enough head height for a shower. I'd highly recommend this place.

A very comfortable bed and a cosy, warm place made for a lovely few days. The enclosed garden was beautiful, full of plants with a little stream. There are lots of interesting places nearby, and I'd definitely stay again.
