Pier House

A burst water pipe at home left us urgently needing somewhere to stay, and as we live locally we managed to book a room at The Pier House Hotel. The room was stunning, with views over Charlestown harbour. Everyone was great, especially Ollie, who we dealt with most. He kept us updated about the booking, arranged refreshments and got the room sorted. When my wife mentioned we'd gone hours without a drink because of the situation, they kindly brought us complimentary tea and coffee. The customer service and care were first class. Thank you so much, I would give more stars if I could.

We found a last minute dinner table for two and had a great experience. We each ordered a small fish and chips, which wasn't on the menu, but they were happy to make it. Having seen how large the fish portions are at other Cornish restaurants, including the Pier House, we weren't sure we'd manage a full one. The meals came quickly and were excellent. We'll be back.

A lovely spot for eating and watching the world go by. We booked during a very hot bank holiday weekend, when a live band was playing and there was a real buzz. The food was great. I'd recommend the goats cheese arancini, and our Sunday roast came with everything you'd expect and more. Lovely place.

The staff were all amazing, and we really couldn't fault a thing, even though we're fussy. We stayed at h the Pier House for our anniversary, and our premier sea view room was amazing, with a great view and a really comfortable bed with nice linen. There were lots of thoughtful touches: automatic bathroom lights, toiletries, dry robes to borrow for the beach, a nespresso machine, an iron and board, tea, coffee and biscuits, a mini bar, touch control heating and air con, plus huge fluffy towels and dressing gowns. The shower was very big, with great pressure and plenty of hot water. Breakfast had a good choice and generous portions. We also had lunch one day and a huge Sunday roast for dinner, which was very welcome after our 10 mile hike. We'll be back soon!
