2nd Floor Tbilisi Boutique Hotel

Getting checked in and obtaining a key is impossible. The people managing the place don’t even know whether there are rooms free 😉 There’s never anyone at reception, and nobody answers the phone, even when you’ve booked. It felt more like a horror movie than a joke.

The room was very dark and had no window. In the morning, a cleaner who didn’t know we were there disturbed us and spoke only Russian. Check-in was a mess. Nobody was there when we arrived, and they left us waiting for an hour with our five-month-old baby. Nobody ever showed up. Eventually we got a text and found a key under a table. Then, overnight, I got a notice saying the room was cancelled, with no explanation. We were left dealing with people who didn’t communicate or organize things, and who threatened us. We felt harassed, with a baby there too. The atmosphere inside was awful.

The location is fine and fairly quiet, but we spent two days in a room with no window, sunlight, or fresh air. That might have been manageable if the price were fair or if Booking had warned us beforehand. Whenever we needed anything, we had to ask, and they were never prepared. When we did ask, they could reply, “hata the problem?” It was so rude. This really isn’t a hotel, more like a strange apartment.

While I was in hospital, the hotel staff moved my belongings out of my room and left them in the corridor. They didn’t call, apologize, or ask how I was. I can’t forgive that. I broke my leg after slipping on the wet, slippery toilet floor, which was caused by an issue with the hotel’s water pipe. I screamed for help, but nobody came. I had to drag myself with my broken leg into the middle of the corridor, hurting it further. Eventually the housekeeper found me and called emergency services. The service was horrible and the people were cruel. Terrible hotel.
