Boho Tiflis Hotel

The restaurant was the best part for me. It only serves breakfast, but the breakfast was good, and the older woman at the counter was friendly and cordial. The front desk, though, needs someone better at customer service. We’re senior citizens and need medication. One evening, after we returned late from an outing and shopping, we found the two small water bottles hadn’t been left in the room as usual. At the desk, the man didn’t believe me and called the maid, who said she’d left them. I got water from the dining room instead. The next morning he apologized, saying the maid had called after I left and admitted she’d forgotten the water. I told him not to worry, because I already knew both of them were lying. The next day, the maid took the used towels but didn’t leave two sets of bath and face towels for our two rooms. I called the desk rather than going downstairs. He brought bath towels with a grumpy expression, and didn’t know what face towels were when I asked for them. I’m a retired marine officer who worked on ships for over 42 years and stayed in many foreign hotels during that time. I’ve never experienced this kind of front desk behavior. I also complained about the room TV and shower head and showed photos. He knew the TV was broken but said he didn’t know about the shower, and would raise it with the manager. There wasn’t much else to appreciate apart from the restaurant.
