The apartment was simple and very clean, and having air conditioning mattered a lot. It’s small, but the area felt safe. The Holy Trinity Cathedral is very close, and the presidential residence is half a block away. Avlavari metro station, a Spar supermarket, and shops with local products are nearby too. You can get across the river in about 10 minutes for more complex tourist services. The lady was welcoming and kind to our daughters throughout. She even called to check train departure times and tried a few basic Spanish words to communicate with us.

It’s a small apartment in a historic setting, with what you need close by. There’s hot water, a microwave, toaster, and washing machine. The area is nice and you can walk to the center.

The friendly landlady and the old town location made for a decent apartment stay. The washing machine is noisy, though it wasn’t a problem.
