Villa Galaxy Santorini

The room was comfortable, very neat and cleaned every day, and having a private hot tub was a great addition. Ms. Irini gave us a warm welcome and was the most helpful staff member we could have asked for. Her advice and tips made it easy for us to travel all around the island. Villa Galaxy was one of the best places we’ve ever stayed.

The jacuzzi was amazing and seemed pretty new, and the room was very good. This is a family hotel. When we arrived, we told the receptionist it was the first stop of our honeymoon. She was very friendly, gave us Greek wine to celebrate, and let us check in two hours early. It was completely worth staying here. Just be aware that walking to Fira takes around 15-20 minutes. There are lots of hills and no flat stretch along the way, so it gets tiring.

It’s a quiet spot about a 10-minute walk from central Fira, with very peaceful nights. You don’t get a Caldera view, but it’s only a 10-minute walk away, and you avoid the bustle of the center. The locally run family place is super clean and well managed. Granny does the cleaning while the younger family members talk with guests. The suites are well appointed, each with its own Jacuzzi. Our suite had lots of space and felt like a mini villa. There are coffee machines, fridges and kettles in the rooms, so it’s easy to bring back simple food from a supermarket or local bakery.

Getting a room here for our holiday felt like a lucky break. It was roomy, with a private tub and a clean private area, and the sunset view was incredible. The staff member who helped us was so kind and responsive before the trip, making sure we’d check in on time and be well looked after. She even arranged a taxi for about half the Uber price. The walk to the center is manageable, though there’s a bit of an uphill stretch.
