Ilioperato Hotel

The beautiful views and great location made our four-night honeymoon stay even more disappointing. We had put up the “Do Not Disturb” sign and locked the room before going out, but came back to find that someone had entered and cleaned it. Our belongings had been moved, and that made us very uncomfortable. The next day, a staff member came to ask if we needed anything. We politely said no, but instead of leaving, he went to the window and looked into the room before he left. It felt unnecessary, invasive, and quite unprofessional. We understand that housekeeping, jacuzzi maintenance, and daily checks are part of running a hotel. The issue was not the service itself, but the lack of communication before staff approached or entered private guest spaces. A knock, doorbell, or clear announcement beforehand would have made all the difference. There were also a few room issues: no dustbin, and the door lock was difficult to operate. Management apologized and offered a partial refund after we raised the matter, which we appreciate. Still, the repeated loss of privacy left a bad impression and affected what was meant to be a special Santorini stay.

Joanna and the team were a delight. Everyone was friendly and helpful, made us feel welcome right away, and offered great recommendations when we asked. Our room was lovely, clean, and comfortable, and breakfast was plentiful and delicious. For our first Santorini trip, this hotel was a fabulous choice. It's well placed between Fira and Oia, with gorgeous sunset views. I can't recommend it enough.

The two of us felt safe and very happy, and it turned into a memorable holiday. The room was nice and big, with space for our luggage and a safe, though the safe wasn't bolted to the wall. We'd asked for two beds but arrived to find a comfortable queen instead, which felt a little weird. The property was quiet, with a spectacular view and a superb location where we could enjoy nature away from crowds. Breakfast was great, the pool was clean and well maintained, and there was a safe, clean walking path in both directions to Fira and Oia.

Ioanna was an amazing host, kind and helpful even when we had an emergency. I've never had that level of service in Europe. The rooms were very clean, spacious enough to be comfortable, and had the best view in Imerogivli. Best town and hotel in Santorini. I'd happily come back a hundred times, and I'm looking forward to going again!
