The only thing to keep in mind is the stairs, since guests in an upstairs room have to carry larger bags up themselves. It isn’t a long walk, but it’s something to know. The rooms were stylish, comfortable, and clean, and the whole place felt calm and welcoming. Staff were friendly and professional, and made sure we had what we needed. They can also arrange transportation, and offer hookah/shisha to purchase if you’d like to enjoy it by the pool in the evening. The views were stunning, just what you picture when you think of Santorini, and the pool area was beautiful too, a great place to relax. The Onyx was amazing, and I’d definitely return.

The hotel is a 1.5km walk from the nearest town, so I’d recommend hiring a car or quad. We’d already arranged ours because we wanted to explore the island, but the hotel can organize one at great rates and take care of pickup and drop-off. We had an amazing stay at Onyx Hotel Santorini. The property is stunning, beautifully designed, and so peaceful. Our spacious, quiet room had a huge, comfortable bed that made it hard to get up in the morning. The private jacuzzi was a treat at night, overlooking the pool and its sparkling lights. The pool was refreshing, there were plenty of sun lounges, and breakfast was delicious with lots of choices. Everyone we met on staff was kind and helpful. Denisa and Victoria at the front office were especially sweet, warm, and friendly, and gave us useful information without overwhelming us. You can tell they care about making guests feel special. We also met the owners, who were just as lovely and reflected the atmosphere they’ve created. This was a standout stay on our Greece trip, and I couldn’t recommend it more.

A great choice if you want a relaxing villa. The pool area is peaceful, with snacks available through the day and a cheeky cocktail or two. The front-of-house and housekeeping staff are welcoming, helpful, and friendly.

Onyx Hotel is tucked into a calm, peaceful spot, yet only 5 minutes from the airport. The hotel taxi could be booked whenever we needed it and always arrived within 15 minutes. For the price, it was an amazing find. The rooms were surprisingly spacious, modern, clean, fresh, and comfortable. But the staff made the stay. Lisa at the bar had so much energy and welcomed us like a friend each day. When we came back for one extra night at the end of the trip, she was just as happy to see us. Emmanuel, the owner, along with Denisa at reception and Victoria, were all personable and couldn’t do enough to help. Their local recommendations came with honest opinions, which we really appreciated. A five-star stay, and we’ll definitely return.
