Ianthe Apartments & Villa

Anna and Mausura were such kind, welcoming hosts, always smiling, offering advice on what to do around Santorini, and even greeting us with a glass of wine. I stayed in the villa with my 9 year old daughter, and the cave house felt wonderfully authentic. Waking up to the calm caldera view was the highlight. There’s a jacuzzi facing the view, available any time, plus a breakfast table and two sunbeds. They check the jacuzzi water quality daily. The villa is about a 10-minute walk to Oia center, right by a bus stop for Fira and a small supermarket. Breakfast is self-served from products replenished in the fridge each day, with a coffee machine, toaster, and a new bottle of water daily. This villa is separate from the rest of Ianthe's apartments where the pool is, so it takes a few minutes to walk there. That seems common in Oia, and the hosts provide towels for the pool. We enjoyed our stay so much I’m planning to return.

The room was cleaned every day, and breakfast was great, especially the fresh croissants. The mother and daughter hosting us were really friendly and shared good suggestions for places to go and eat. It was a great stay, with an amazing location just a short walk from the heart of Oia and its beautiful caldera views.

The caldera at sunset was gorgeous, and Oia was only a short walk away. The host and her daughter were so kind and welcoming, better hospitality than I’ve had even at five-star hotels around the world. They cleaned the place every day and had everything we needed. I especially appreciated the thoughtful touches, like homemade wine when we arrived and pads in the bathroom. My only regret is that we didn’t stay longer.

The owner really made our three nights at Ianthe special. She gave us great tips, even for the next leg of our trip, and when we had to leave early and miss breakfast, she prepared a food basket the night before. Breakfast was delivered to our room each morning, with our choices made the day before. We ate on the lovely balcony overlooking the water and pool, and the room had plates, silverware, and everything else we needed. The room was spacious, authentic, spotless, and just as advertised. Housekeeping did a great job every day. It’s about a five-minute walk to Oia town, and the hotel has parking a convenient two minutes away. Everything exceeded our expectations, and we’d happily stay again.
