Hotel La Canoa

The chicken in the sandwich was absurdly small, about as thin as half a chicken nugget. The fries were greasy and bad, though the food did arrive warm. The man working there began listing the menu while I was still reading it. At 40Q, it cost too much for what I got.

Just reviewing the restaurant: the setting and view are great, and the prices are okay. The food itself wasn't good.

The price is low, though it isn't the island's cheapest, and the woman at the hotel is somewhat friendly. That's about the extent of the good points. There was no internet, and the rooms felt like places where you'd rather not get undressed. The sheets were damp, the smell was awful and clung to us, and the bathroom was somewhere we didn't want to be. At night, loud music from the Restaurant made it hard to sleep. We needed pills and luck to drift off. The windows had no glass or blinds, only metal mesh that was supposed to keep insects out but didn't do the job. We changed hotels during the night just to get some sleep.

We only sat down to wait out the rain, and wish we hadn't. The menu didn't show clear prices, the fries were greasy yet oddly brittle, like they'd come from the freezer, and the chicken burrito had pulled chicken with nothing else in it. Service was poor too. I wouldn't come here for the food.
