Melvin was a wonderful host, and the hotel is good value for the money. One drawback: the second floor doesn’t have three-legged plugs.

The common kitchen was really useful, and there’s direct access to the lake, which was lovely. The staff were kind and helpful, especially Melvin, who deserves a big thanks. I was only there one night, but would definitely have stayed longer if I’d had more time in Flores. The rooms are quite decent for a two-star hotel. I’d recommend it for a short stay in Flores.

The shared kitchen was useful for making milk for our baby, and the shared balcony has a nice, relaxing view. Rooms were clean and spacious. Staff were friendly, too. You can buy beer and keep it in the public fridge.

We loved our four-night stay in this peaceful hotel. The lake views were gorgeous, especially at sunset, and the balcony really made the room. It was easy to walk to everything on the island, including restaurants, bars, a bakery, the water taxi, and a convenience store, all about five minutes away. Our room was large, with a king-size bed, windows on two sides, a balcony, air conditioning, shelves and hanging space, an ensuite shower and bath, a TV, and a fridge. The hotel has a lakefront seating area downstairs, daily cleaning, and a small kitchen with four hobs, a fridge, pots, pans, and utensils. I wish the AC were stronger, and that the front desk could offer more local tips or help connect guests with a Tikal tour or kayak rental.
