Breakfast was a highlight of our stay at The St. Regis Hong Kong. It's a la carte rather than buffet, and having dishes made fresh to order made the mornings feel special. We booked through MT Luxury Travel on the Marriott STARS rate, which included breakfast and $100 USD credit. We used the credit for lunch at Run, their 2-Michelin star restaurant, and it covered most of the bill for two. The meal was outstanding and felt like a steal with the credit. The staff were polished and attentive throughout, and everything felt seamless, just what you'd expect from a St. Regis. From the moment we walked into the lobby, it was clear the property was on another level. The hard product is world-class, with luxurious marble finishes and room furnishings that weren't over the top. Highly recommend it for a top-tier Hong Kong stay.
I was there for a week in February on a business trip. The room was a good size and well stocked, the hotel was next to the train station, and the exhibition centre was within walking distance. Breakfast was a la carte, which felt unique, and the service was top notch. A couple of things could make it more comfortable: international switches would be better than only Hong Kong power sockets, and water bottles instead of cans would improve the experience. Those are minor points, though. It was a great stay and I'll come back.
I've stayed at a lot of hotels, and The St. Regis here is by far my favorite, especially around Wan Chai. The regular rooms and suites are gorgeous, and I like that it's a smaller property. It's immaculately kept, and the staff are welcoming professionals who made the experience memorable and came to know my preferences. Angel and Max gave me particularly outstanding personal service. I also met the property manager, who clearly cares about guests' experiences and eagerly asked for feedback on Run, one of the hotel's two Michelin restaurants. I used the gym and pool, ate breakfast and room service, had meetings in the Drawing Room, drinks at the bar, and got recommendations from the concierge. Every interaction was smooth and the service was superb. They sent treats to my room and a pot of hot water each night so I could make tea, since the room kettles had plastic in them and I didn't want to use them. If I had more money, I'd live here long-term. For now I'm staying at another, less luxurious but more budget friendly property nearby. I'll be back for special occasions and when I want a bit of luxury.
In-room dining is exceptional, and the Hainanese Chicken Rice was so good. Staff were also exceptionally helpful and friendly. The room itself is great and I love the interior style, though the personal care products, like body lotion, don't feel high end. The harbor view is okay, but don't expect too much from the island. The location is a real drawback since it's not very close to an MTR station, and the nearest, Exhibition Centre Station, isn't a good one. At least that makes the area quieter. I also love the giant electric gate. It feels like something from a video game.
The St Regis Hong Kong has become my new favorite hotel. It's beautiful, and the care and attention to detail are remarkable. On New Year's Day, the general manager and the wonderful director of food and beverage, Mr. Charraudeau, personally greeted guests in the morning. That says a lot about how much they care for guests and their own staff. Thanks so much to Mr. Tony, Mr Chow, both Mr Wongs, Lancelot, and of course the extraordinary sommelier Mrs. Alexis, who generously shared her incredible knowledge with us. You're all amazing, and we were very lucky to meet you. Thank you for taking such good care of us!
