The room was small and smelly, and water dripping loudly from the air conditioners on the floors above kept us from sleeping well. We booked and paid through booking.com, where the taxes were supposed to be included, but were still asked to pay another 33 HKD as hotel tax. The receptionist was quite intrusive. They asked for my phone and posted 5-star reviews for the hotel themselves.

Probably my worst stay. We booked through booking.com and were asked to pay extra. The noise kept us from sleeping, and although we had room service every day, the room didn't look clean. It was nothing like the photos on booking.com. The room was smaller than a double bed, more like a single.

The room was clean and the hotel was good. It's in ChungKing Mansion, right in central HongKong Tsim Sha Tsui, with most places and the metro very close by.

For a backpacker looking for an affordable place that's nice, clean, and comfortable, I recommend this one. The staff are helpful and accommodating.

We were on the 6th floor, and the room, bedding, and towels were clean, with no dirt or insects. The offer description was accurate, and it was very good value for money. The woman at reception was incredibly nice. The desk is on the 16th floor, and she showed us to the room, explained everything, lent us an adapter, and suggested a good breakfast place. After check-out, we could leave our luggage for free, wait for a taxi, charge our phones, and use the bathroom. The elevator wait was about 20 minutes, as other comments mention, so keep that in mind when planning your time. It's a very good option if you want affordable prices in a good location.
