Mamaison Hotel Andrassy Budapest

We had a pleasant three-night stay at Mamaison Andrassy Budapest. The hotel is small and cozy, with a family-like feel, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Check-in and checkout were quick, and everything was clean and well maintained. It's also convenient for getting around: the metro is about 150 meters away, and the city center takes roughly 10 minutes to reach. We had two rooms. The double was spacious, with a modern, clean bathroom and a bathtub, though the bed was average and could use an upgrade. The single was quite small, suitable for one person but too cramped for two, and had a modern, clean bathroom with a shower. Breakfast was excellent. The buffet wasn't huge, but there was plenty to choose from and everything was fresh and good quality. A couple of things could be better. In winter, the temperature stayed around 25°C despite the air conditioning controls, so we had to open a window or the balcony door to cool the room. That seems like an avoidable waste of energy. Housekeeping was offered by guest choice, which sounds sensible, but the resource-saving approach seemed to affect the quality. Towel replacement worked, but the beds weren't made, and even when we requested a full cleaning, it was rather superficial. A comfortable hotel with a good location and breakfast. More consistent cleaning and better room temperature control would improve the stay.

The room was quiet and had a huge bathtub, and the breakfast buffet was very nice. The hotel was clean and great value for money. But the day after I left, I got an email confirming a reservation there that wasn't mine. I replied to say it was a mistake. I wouldn't want my personal information shared, so be careful.

We had a beautiful room with a balcony, comfortable beds, and a lovely large bathroom. It was a wonderful first visit to Budapest, and the hotel is close to the city center. Special thanks to the breakfast and restaurant staff, especially Balint and the chef, for a great three-course dinner on our first night. Great job, and thanks, guys. The breakfast was amazing, with lots of choices, freshly prepared food, and regular refills. The staff were friendly and helpful, especially at breakfast. The hotel has spacious rooms and is a short walk from heroes square, with plenty of restaurants nearby. I'd highly recommend it for a Budapest visit.
