The location is fantastic, the rooms are spacious and quiet, and the apartment has a kitchen, dining area, and balcony. We were on the top floor away from the street. For the price and location, it's great for a group. When we arrived, the rooms were quite clean. I wish I'd known there were cats living in the lobby. I'm allergic, and the enclosed room gave me hives. I was stuffy, itchy, and sneezing throughout the stay, so I wouldn't have booked if I'd known about the cats. The bedding and towels were washed in heavily scented detergent, which made it uncomfortable to sleep. We had two supposed room cleanings and were asked to put our things in our bags, but they only changed the towels. The room stayed dusty all week. The bathroom smelled strongly of urine, especially near the end. We couldn't tell whether it was coming from the toilet or the floor plumbing opening, and we kept the bathroom clean, so we're not sure why it smelled so bad. The hostel information was out of date too. A window notice said breaking one could cost up to 50 euros, but someone in our group accidentally broke one while putting on his shoes and had to pay 70 euros to get it fixed.

For the price, the quality and central location are phenomenal. We were a 10 minute walk from the danube. My friends and I booked a room for six, with six beds including a queen sized bed that could sleep two, plus a kitchen, shower, and bathroom. I'd highly recommend it.

The central location was really handy, and if you're young and only need somewhere to sleep, it might be fine. But the rooms we were assigned looked nowhere near as good as the listing photos, and weekends can get really noisy, so I wouldn't recommend it for elderly guests. They're very careful about theft, which is good, though it also felt worrying, especially since there aren't safes in the rooms. We arranged airport transport, but it never showed up, so we took an Uber that cost less than Pal's trasport. It wasn't a great experience overall. The service and rooms could use improvement.

The beds were comfortable, and the hostel is in a great spot, right in front of the main church. Staff were kind, though they welcomed us by handing out ear muffs, which made it seem like they expected loud nights. We didn't actually hear any noise. The rooms are quite old and in bad condition, but fair for the price.

The host was so welcoming and caring, a real joy. The apartment is spacious and well priced, especially for a spot right in the heart of Budapest.
