100 Sunset Hotel

I booked this place because it’s within walking distance of Siloam Hospital Bali, where I was looking after my family. The room was very spacious for one person, but I’d think twice before returning. Noise was the biggest problem: traffic from busy Sunset road Bali continued all night, and loud music, possibly from a nearby restaurant or club, went on until 3 AM. The building looks old from outside, and the pillowcases didn’t look clean or bright white.

I was uncomfortable in the Premier Double bedroom because it stayed so hot that I barely slept. The aircon was too weak, and its position meant the cold air didn’t reach the bed. They may need stronger units or a better setup for air to circulate. Until that’s fixed, I can’t recommend the hotel.

The room was clean and well prepared, and the AC stayed really cold even when I set it to 27 degrees. Everyone on staff, especially the welcoming receptionist, greeted us with a smile. It’s close to a mall, hospital, and other cafes in Bali. We did hear a little noise when a neighbor shouted, but we had a great night here, even though it was just one night. TBH, I spent 20 days in Bali and tried a bunch of hotels. This one was the worst. Housekeeping stops at 10 pm, and there’s no water available after that, so in an emergency you have to go to a supermarket. The toilets weren’t clean, the staff weren’t cooperative, and the breakfast food seemed to be cooked in bad oil.
