Ayu Lili Garden Cottage Kuta

On my first visit, I came with a friend and booked three rooms. The pool was clean, and I spent hours reading on the really nice pool bed. The staff were okay. For the quality and location, I thought the price was very good and well worth it.

The stay was frustrating from start to finish. The WiFi kept disconnecting and was too unreliable to browse, while mobile reception was almost nonexistent. The place was full of smokers, and the smell was everywhere. Our room smelled bad, as did the area outside, and the balcony looked out over garbage. The property was also in poor shape, with no proper drinking water, and although breakfast was listed in the booking, none was served. I don’t know who gave it the existing ratings, since my experience was the opposite. Avoid this place, even if you have to pay more elsewhere.

I stayed for 12 nights and loved the hotel. The pool was great, and the staff were very nice and attentive. You do need to ask for clean, fresh towels, but they always bring them when you do. The rooms are large, each in its own little building, and the WiFi was good too. If you’re visiting from October through January, get a room with AC. Nights are really hot with just a fan.

The room looked good and the bed was nice, but I wouldn’t come back. The staff know the WiFi doesn’t work in the rooms and told us to sit outside for a better connection. Bathroom water smelled like rotten eggs, and the shower drain was clogged. The pool was green instead of blue like the picture and out of use for some kind of maintenance.
