Fashion Hotel Legian

The two pools, one on the rooftop and another on the ground floor, are a nice option, and Fashion has a decent breakfast. It’s in a good spot, though the street in Legian gets jammed with traffic in the evening. If you book online, they’ll give you a room with no view. In mine, the fridge and hair dryer both didn’t work. I called reception, and a technician fixed the hair dryer, but the refrigerator was never repaired or replaced.

I was pleasantly surprised by my room after seeing the hallways, though it still needs new fixtures, and the towels looked shabby and no longer white. The bar and restaurant areas seem fine, but the other shared spaces need work. I hope they fix the place up, because it has potential and could get much better reviews. The renovation noise was constant, with jackhammers going all day. The fifth floor looked as if it were being demolished, and there was rubbish in the hallways. I can see the hotel needs fresh paint and flooring. The terrazzo makes a lot of noise and echoes when people come in at night, so red carpet might suit the theme and help with that. Guests should have been told about the renovations and mosquito fogging before booking. In my view, the hotel should have closed during the construction instead of taking new guests. I was also surprised there’s no gym. The Love Bar upstairs, which doesn’t seem to be in use, would be a good spot for a gym and yoga space.

The only thing I liked was the location, across from a delicious Cafe. I expected a budget hotel, but still expected basic hygiene. I checked in at 3am and checked out just 5 hours later, at 8am, after finding the toilet feral, questionable stains and markings on the walls and bed, broken handles, no locks, and a completely unhygienic shower. When I explained why I had to book somewhere else, I was told I wouldn’t get my money back. DO NOT RECCOMEND !!!!!

We chose this hotel for the central location and the convenient trip to the airport on the last night of our Bali tour. It took 2 hours to get into a room. We’d booked one on the ground floor facing the pool, but they refused and showed us a tiny room on the fifth floor. Don’t rely on the pictures. It’s an old property that needs serious renovation. The room was small, the fridge didn’t work, and the Internet was pretty bad. Reception staff didn’t know much English or many of the details. Breakfast was extremely average, not even much of a buffet, just a few local dishes, bread and eggs. I wouldn’t recommend it, especially with so many good options around at good prices.
