Rumah Putih Abu Abu

I saw the owner and three staff members behaving in a bizarre way. After a customer discovered a theft, nobody wanted to call the police. They seemed unwilling to have the police come to the hotel.

€200 was taken from my bag after it had been opened in my room, even though it was supposed to be sealed with a drain. I asked the owners to call the police, but they refused. I went to the police station myself, where they said they would file a complaint and investigate. I believe the staff stole the money. I'm going to post a photo of the thieves.

Breakfast was the best we had during our 10 days travelling around Lombok and the Gilis. The pancakes and English breakfast were filling, and there were so many jams for the pancakes. We also found a home serving delicious seafood nearby, New Warung Amalia, on Google. They only do dinner, but the price was very good and the food tasted amazing. I’m not sure whether the property has restaurant service. There’s laundry available too. The property is great value, and we could easily have stayed several days just relaxing. It’s a little far from the beach, but getting around was convenient with Grab or a rented scooter. We really liked how the place was laid out. The entrance is cute, nicely structured, and well kept. The room was spacious enough, with a spotless bathroom, a very comfortable bed, cozy lighting, good AC, a mini fridge, and room for luggage. There was even a welcome drink that hadn’t been mentioned, plus a useful clothes stand outside. The pool was clean and the area around the room was really cute. The only hiccup was that our room wasn’t ready when we arrived, even though we’d told them our arrival time and reminded them an hour beforehand. We were tired from travelling in the midday heat, but it was okay. Maybe they were short staffed. I’m just saying it would help to have rooms ready when guests check in. Nothing else bothered us.

The staff were really welcoming and helpful. It was easy to rent a scooter right from them, which saved hassle. We had a great breakfast, and both the pool and the spacious rooms were lovely. I’d definitely recommend the place.
