Cahaya Ubud Villa

I stayed for over two weeks and had no regrets about staying here instead of at my yoga school. The villa has amazing views, and the service was 10/10. Breakfast was really tasty. I especially liked the smoothie, chicken sandwich, and banana pancake, and the changing fruit smoothie selection each day was impressive. If you want a break from Ubud's busy streets, this is a great place to be surrounded by greenery and wake up to roosters.

The quiet countryside setting was the best part for us. The hotel sits at the end of a calm cul-de-sac among rice fields, and even during harvest there was no petrol engine noise. The property is distinctive and well cared for. The last stretch of road is only accessible to motorcycles, so they arrange a pick-up from the main street at Love Spa Ubud. A call or WhatsApp message gets a quick reply, and the whole process was smooth. They also rent good motorbikes and can organize tours through reception. Breakfast was excellent, and we appreciated that nobody tried to sell us tours or other services. Everything felt easygoing. A peaceful place near nature, with activities still easy to reach.

I was glad I picked this place instead of a room from my yoga studio for TTC. It cost a little more, but felt worth it. The staff were all lovely, kind, and quick to respond, even though there weren't many of them. My villa was very spacious for one person, and there'd be plenty of room for two. The bathroom is especially big, and the room was cleaned every day. Breakfast had lots of choices. Everything was good, especially the banana pancake and chicken sandwich. It's about a 15-minute walk from the rice field entrance. The path isn't too bad, but it gets very dark after sunset, so bring a phone or headlight. Being farther from the main rice field road also kept things calm and peaceful. There are an outdoor pool, spa, and restaurant. The pool is small, but hardly anyone used it, so it often felt like it was all yours. Both Wi-Fi networks, one for the room and one for the pool, had a poor connection. I used my mobile data during my 11-night stay. Everything else was 10/10.

Such a quiet, beautiful area, with lovely views. This is my favorite place to stay in Bali. The owners are friendly and helpful, the property is clean, and the included breakfast is tasty with several menu options. It is about a 10-15 minute walk from the main road, so you'll need to get scooters and walk often to go out for food or activities. I liked being away from the noise and busy streets. Laundry is available for a fee, and they provide water bottles, which is handy. I'd recommend it to anyone visiting Bali.
