Ubud Aura Retreat

Ubud Aura is in a very narrow dead-end alley, so it’s wonderfully quiet, and the Yogabarn is just 30 steps away in that same alley. The garden has trees and koi fish, and there’s a nice pool. Rooms are large, well equipped, each with its own character and private terrace, and they’re spread across different buildings. There’s also a spa on site. We had an amazing massage from Tati. The crew were incredibly helpful. You choose breakfast each day and set the time, with fresh fruit at breakfast and an afternoon snack included. There’s a full fridge available for free, plus lovely treats on arrival. Our room even had a yoga mat and a big ball for practice. I absolutely recommend staying here.

The spa is lovely, and the massage with Riska was amazing. The pool is stunning and the temperature was perfect. Set back from the road, this peaceful little oasis is right beside the yogabarn. The rooms were clean and the bed super comfy. The staff were so polite, kind, and helpful, and made everything feel easy. I’ll definitely come back. I won’t stay anywhere else in Ubud.

I came back a little over a week later because the staff had impressed me so much. Checking in today, the welcome was just as kind and warm as it was two weeks ago. I had a spa treatment with Riska again, this time a Yogurt Massage and Rose Facial. I asked for her, and she greeted me with a big smile. She gets the pressure just right, doesn’t chat much, and has warm hands. When she works on your head and body, it’s relaxing, and she gives off a calming, rejuvenating chi at the same time 🙏🏽

Dewa and Riska deserve a special mention for the spa treatments. They were absolutely brilliant. The staff in general were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and happy to help with anything I needed. My room was clean, comfortable, nice, and well maintained throughout my stay. Breakfast each morning was lovely, with fresh options and a good selection. The location made it convenient to explore Ubud while still feeling peaceful and relaxing. I’d happily return!
