I’m extremely disappointed with this hotel. Our long-awaited Bali vacation was meant to start on February 28, 2026, with a stopover in Dubai. That same day, an unexpected and serious international conflict broke out, including an attack on Dubai. The airspace was shut down and all flights to and from Dubai, ours included, were suspended. With no clear idea when flights might resume and the situation so uncertain, we had to cancel. This was completely unforeseen and outside our control. We had paid for the whole trip in advance, including our stay here, and the financial loss was devastating. What made it worse was the hotel's refusal to offer any help or solution. Even in these extraordinary circumstances, they wouldn't consider compensation or a voucher, sticking rigidly to their policies. We’d saved for this vacation for years, and now we’re left with nothing because of events we couldn't control. Their lack of understanding or flexibility was deeply disheartening.

The regular room with direct pool access worked much better for us than the honeymoon suite. The infinity pool isn’t very big, but the view from there is nice. The hotel itself is beautiful and a little old, which gives it charm. We stayed in both room types. The honeymoon suite didn’t feel worth it: there were many stairs to climb, it wasn’t especially special, the tub was small, and the view wasn’t impressive. Animals on the roof made quite a bit of noise. It was disruptive, though also a little fun in an odd way. Breakfast wasn’t a full buffet. There were a few buffet items, but we had to choose the main dish from a menu. We didn’t enjoy it much; nothing stood out for taste or quality. I’d recommend the hotel, but suggest booking a regular room instead of the honeymoon suite.

The quiet pool area was a favorite, tucked away among tropical greenery. Sitting there felt more like being in a garden temple than at a hotel, and the private villas had an intimate, grounded feel, with natural textures, gentle light, and thoughtful design. Ulun Ubud Resort has traditional Balinese stonework, carved details, and tiled roofs that fit naturally into the jungle setting. A carved shrine and mossy stone features give the property a strong sense of history and spirituality, connecting it to Ubud’s cultural roots. Daily offerings welcome you on arrival, and that feeling of reverence and balance continues through the stay. Everything seemed calm, deliberate, and respectfully cared for, as though time moved more slowly. It’s well suited to travelers looking for peace, reflection, and a Balinese experience, away from crowds and excess. A place to breathe, reconnect with nature, and feel Ubud’s spirit. A hidden gem that left me with a lasting sense of beauty, peace, and quiet luxury.

We had a wonderful time at Ulun Ubud Resort & Spa. The staff were warm and welcoming, and our room was clean and comfortable. With its jungle views, peaceful mood, and beautiful infinity pool, it’s a lovely spot to unwind in Ubud. Highly recommended if you want a calm, scenic stay in Bali. 🌿✨

That view is amazing, and it was so peaceful both day and night. The receptionist helped us arrange a trip up Mt Batur and even packed breakfast for us to take along. The restaurant service and staff were great too. The hotel could be cleaner, but the service more than made up for that. ✨
