The room was spacious and the bed, sheets and other bedding were clean. The pool looked clean too, although we didn’t use it. Staff were nice and helpful, and there’s a scooter rental nearby. It’s about a four-minute drive from Ubud center. We booked through Agoda for a week, and our downstairs room was so dark we needed flashlights. The Wi-Fi was slow, the liquid soap smelled rancid, and the sink and mirror were dated. It was hard to see yourself in the mirror.
We booked three nights at first, then added three more because we liked the villa so much. It feels comfortable and homey, and the owners were incredibly friendly and kind. Bike rentals, laundry, a lovely café and a local Warung are all close by. We had a great stay and highly recommend it.
Clean room with AC, and there’s a swimming pool too, though I didn’t stay long enough to try it. The staff were friendly. The place is nice, just a bit of a walk from Ubud’s busy areas.
The one thing I’d add is a mini fridge in the bungalow. Sekembang Villa already has a kitchen with what you might need, which is useful for longer stays or making your own meals. I found it calm and tucked away, yet still close to central Ubud. The staff were kind and attentive, and the whole place felt relaxed and welcoming. It was a peaceful surprise. If you want quiet, comfort and warm hospitality, it’s a lovely choice. One detail, the closing line called it Second Bank Villa.
A very nice villa. I stayed for two days and felt really good there. Definitely recommended, you won’t regret it once you arrive.
