The location is the best thing about this place, and the staff were friendly. But the rooms were tiny, filthy, and old, with shabby furnishings badly in need of updating and a proper clean. That went for everything from the carpet to the bed linen. At 5pm, cereal for the next morning was brought to us in a bowl covered with cling film. The bathrooms were filthy too, and the shower was so small you had to mind your elbows. Very disappointing, and I couldn't recommend this place.

The rooms were spacious and clean, and the beds were very comfortable. We had two cats, and the place was accommodating. Arriving late at night was easy because everything was accessible and straightforward to find. It felt like a hotel room and was very good for the price of a family room. The city is within walking distance too.

We paid 350 euro for the night and expected a bit more hospitality. The owner spoke rudely to staff in front of guests, which felt unprofessional, and the breakfast was just okay. We did sleep well, though the house is very dated. Parking was poor. There were five of us, and we thought we'd be in the house, but were put in a freezing apartment that had just been painted and smelled strongly of paint. I complained, and they moved us into the main house. We don't think we'll return.

The breakfast was good the next morning, and the coffee deserves a 10/10. The rooms were clean and had lots of space, and the staff were friendly. The cable TV was the one letdown, blurry and only in black and white. I'd definitely stay again.

The breakfast setup was pretty disappointing. They left our preordered Coco Pops and muesli in bowls under cling film outside the room, along with three croissants in a plastic bag, some fruit, and cups and glasses. Milk and juice were in a fridge on the stair landing, and we brought our own milk. Because of Covid, we were told breakfast would be continental. We paid €150 and honestly couldn't wait to leave. We stayed somewhere else the following night, where breakfast was included, parking was ample, and Covid rules were strictly followed. This house could be fine, but it needs a lot of work to be worth that price. The location was the bright spot, about a five-minute walk to the city centre. The exterior is lovely, but inside it's dark and dated, with old carpet throughout. Staff weren't wearing masks. Parking in the back yard was so tight I nearly scraped the car against the house or wall, and getting out the next day was a nightmare. There's space in front for about four cars. Our triple room was tiny, with a double and a single bed, and the ensuite was very small too. The sink was badly cracked, the shower was old and tiny, and we didn't use it. There was a musty smell when we arrived, so we left the windows open while downtown. It was okay when we came back, although the window handles didn't shut properly. The room had a single oil-filled radiator and no other radiators. Some pillow covers had ink stains. The ceiling light was dim, and one bedside light didn't work. The TV was very old and we couldn't get it working. The bedroom and bathroom handles were broken, and there was just one key for both the bedroom and front door.
