Hotel Tara Palace, Chandni Chowk

Every staff member we met was kind, attentive, and courteous. They arranged local tours and greeted us with warm smiles, which made the experience feel personal and memorable. It’s a peaceful, luxurious place that’s managed perfectly. We can’t wait to return!

I stayed for a week and regretted it. I only stuck it out because I needed to be in Chandni Chowk and changing hotels was a hassle. Otherwise, I would have left right away. As a solo female traveler, I didn’t feel safe or accommodated, and I wouldn’t recommend the place to anyone. The staff were rude and ill-mannered, and their response to complaints was dismissive. I asked twice within an hour for hot water because I felt unwell, but they treated me like a nuisance. Room service was always late, simple requests seemed to annoy them, and they repeatedly asked for IDs, which felt suspicious and unprofessional. The manager was also extremely rude and the management wouldn’t acknowledge or apologize for the poor service. The rooms smelled damp and awful. The sheets, mattresses, and pillows were old and stinky. Cleaning was never on time, and when it happened, it was half-hearted. Some TVs worked and others didn’t, there were no electric kettles, and the fans didn’t work properly, which was unacceptable in peak summer heat in India. When I complained about a faulty fan, staff told me I should have checked it before accepting the room. Renovations were underway, but the old lift was unreliable and couldn’t carry much weight. The rooms aren’t suitable for three people, even though they may try to squeeze guests in, which is misleading. This was a disastrous stay, especially for the price, and I’d never return.

The personal touch began with meeting the owner, Mr. Bhawaeh, who was friendly, cooperative, and down to earth. He made guests feel welcome and valued, and his approachability and dedication added to the hotel’s charm. The property was clean and well maintained, with spacious rooms and modern amenities that made for a comfortable stay. It had a warm, inviting feel suited to business or leisure visits. The staff were professional, courteous, and ready to help, with strong attention to guest satisfaction. Hotel Tara Palace brings together comfort, excellent service, and warm hospitality. My stay there was exceptional and memorable, whether visiting Delhi for business or leisure. Rating: 5/5.

The laneway at Tara Palace hotel was unique and not quite what I expected. Still, the rooms and service were great. You can't judge a book by its cover. Thanks for all your help.
