The front office team were supportive and proactive, and the room was clean, with a TV and a two-seater sofa. Still, for what we paid, I can only give the property three stars. The room was quite small compared with hotels in a similar category. The restaurant was the worst part. My child found a long piece of thread in his omelette, which ruined breakfast for us. At dinner, even a basic order like pasta took nearly an hour, and the food was only average in taste and quality. The staff were kind and helpful during our stay, and I hope management can make the place better.

The food was a highlight for me: I tried the Kolkata Biryani, Assamese Veg Thali, and breakfast, and all of it was very good. The staff were welcoming and the service was good. I was there for work in February. It’s fairly central, though traffic is heavy and the neighborhood gets a little noisy at night. The rooms are somewhat old but reasonably clean, and the washrooms can feel dingy.

The rooms were clean, and room service brought the food in about 20 minutes. The hotel is right in the heart of the city, within walking distance of Brahmaputra Heritage centre, a lovely place to unwind in the evening. There’s a musical fountain at 6.

The breakfast spread was lovely, and I enjoyed the live counters. The staff were helpful, nice, and accommodating, and the washrooms were clean. But for the price, the stay felt like a rip-off. The room smelled musty, and the blanket smelled awful. There weren’t any verified restaurants nearby, and walking around after dark didn’t feel very safe.

I only stayed one night and left for my native place the next morning. I had dinner at a South Indian restaurant near Fancy Bazaar and breakfast at Kamakhya Temple. Even so, this was one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve had, and I’d strongly suggest avoiding the place for your own comfort and safety. The room was in terrible shape, with cockroaches everywhere, even on the beds, and a moldy smell throughout. It felt unhygienic and uncomfortable. The shower knobs were damaged, and staff didn’t fix them after I reported it, which was a real inconvenience. We were also very unhappy with the food. The cream on the cake smelled unpleasant and seemed old, and most dishes didn’t meet basic quality standards. It felt like customers had no choice about the food quality. Overall, we weren’t satisfied. Travel with Sekhar
