Hotel Triund Regency by OYO Rooms

The food service was available, but the food didn't taste good and the quality was below par. The room had a bad smell, with plaster or paint peeling in places, and neither the floor nor the bedsheet was clean. There was no electric kettle, the TV didn't work, and there was no intercom. In the washroom they didn't provide handwash, bodywash, or a dental kit.

The receptionist was arrogant, and the service, upkeep, and behavior were all very poor. They charged a fine for mistakes of their own. I wouldn't visit this hotel, even in a difficult situation.

There were mosquitoes all over the rooms, and I found no real cleanliness at this hotel. It felt unfit for people to stay in. The place calls itself a three-star hotel, but the AC wouldn't turn on despite booking an AC room, there was no hot water, and they even switched off the lights early in the morning. The staff barely knew how to speak to guests and wouldn't give a proper answer. I've never seen such a bad hotel. Don't waste your holiday or travel by staying here, even for free.

We were charged far too much for what this hotel offered. The price on OYO Rooms for a similar room had been 800 INR a night when one of your colleagues checked, and I'd been watching rates for days, never seeing more than 1000 INR. This place wasn't worth 2200 INR/night. The hotel was listed as three-star, but the conditions were very poor: no hot water, water stopped while we were bathing, the internal phone didn't work, rooms weren't clean, WiFi as advertised wasn't there, and there were too few staff. The AC didn't work without power. We felt misled and cheated. We'd booked through TravelGuru at an overpriced rate, while people booking at the hotel were getting it for half as much. We complained to TravelGuru twice and asked to be moved, but they never called back or shifted us. We had family and luggage with us, so staying was our only practical option. TravelGuru ignored the complaint and didn't help us move on the first day. You should resolve with OYO or the property why guests are charged so much for a place missing basic promised amenities. Either TravelGuru or the property was cheating us, and since we booked through TravelGuru, they should take responsibility. I attached photos of the room and a screenshot of that day's OYO Rooms rate. Stay away from both TravelGuru and this hotel if you're paying a two- or three-star price.
