Hotel Kumar Palace

The bed was terrible, with what felt like nothing but springs, and the rooms weren't clean. Staff acted as if we were staying for free, with a lot of attitude. They say they're government approved, but I don't know how. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone, whether traveling with family or not. If no stars were an option, that's what I'd choose.

The food was the biggest disappointment. I ordered a green salad and sandwich, but the salad was carelessly plated onion, cucumber, and carrot slices. It looked unappetizing and not fresh, especially the questionable-looking carrot. The sandwich was bland and poorly made. When I raised it politely, staff said, “Sir, yahi hota hai green salad,” though the menu described a proper salad. They wouldn't acknowledge a problem or offer a return. Only after a long, uncomfortable argument did they reluctantly agree to take it back. The rooms were just okay, but basic things were missing: no slippers, and I had to ask staff for towels. The soap looked like a local laundry bar, a “Ghadi sabun” type. The room also lacked cleanliness and upkeep, which added to the discomfort. My stay at Hotel Kumar Palace, Paharganj, was disappointing and felt unhygienic and unprofessional. It wasn't worth the money. I don't recommend it and won't return.

The rooms were in poor condition and very dirty. They said this was a family hotel, but it’s an Oyo, and the price was far too high for what they offer. The staff were unsupportive and treated our family disrespectfully, as if they were doing us a favor. This was my worst experience. Don’t stay here with family.

The tourist package felt like a scam, and the rooms were full of cockroaches. We also had no proper hot water during peak winter, and the rooms weren’t clean or in good condition. They quoted one price, then changed it just after check-in. From arrival to checkout, the stay was horrible and a decision I regret. Avoid this hotel, even if you’re desperate.
