Cosmopolitan hotel

The cleaning and serving staff were good, but the stay was still a very bad experience for us. Our sheets looked reddish, smelled bad, and didn’t seem properly washed. Water was soaking through the room walls, there was no hot water, and the complimentary breakfast was no good. We were delayed getting to palani because of the service. The manager told us to leave a negative rating and said they weren’t afraid of it. The owner needs to maintain the building, improve the comforts, and spend on renovations and upgrades. It’s near the railway station so plenty of people come, but I can’t recommend staying here. We paid a lot and got no comfort.

We paid in full in advance for five rooms for our group of 12, booked on 15 January 2026. When we arrived on 27 January 2026, we were offered just three rooms, with the hotel saying it was fully booked and had nothing vacant. The receptionist gave us no proper answer, only saying the manager would come in the morning and sort it out. But we were staying one night, so I couldn’t understand what help would come after checkout. They refused a refund and didn’t respond when I asked, leaving us feeling helpless and with no option but to fit 12 people into three rooms. This hotel and its staff cheated my group and me. Don’t trust them or book online. Pathetic service. They cheated us.

The room beds and amenities were dirty, and the AC didn’t work. It rattled all night and felt more like a heater than air conditioning. We complained several times, but nothing changed. The phone was dead too. Every time, the response was, “this is how all the rooms are 😌”. Possibly one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve had. They might as well shut the place down.

My family stayed one day, but the price was as high as for two, and the facilities weren’t worth it. The bedroom was full of cockroaches 😤, the AC barely worked properly, and the bathroom was old and dirty. This is the worst hotel, they should demolish it. If the railway demolished the building, there’d be a lot of space for travel or parking.
