The complimentary breakfast was a big letdown: only a few items, and the quality was poor for a resort at this price. The welcome drinks also fell short, and the onion pakoda was extremely salty. After we complained, they took it away right away. There was little entertainment or recreation on the property, so for what we paid, we could mostly just stay in the room with our family. We booked a double room at Elevas Resort, Mahabalipuram last week after seeing social media videos and promotions, paying a very high rate and expecting something like InterContinental or other resorts in the same price range. When Google Maps brought us there, we found no proper name board or signage, just an elderly security guard at the entrance. It’s very isolated, with no nearby shops, medical facilities, hospitals, or basic amenities. The closest facilities are about 2 km away. After 7:00 PM, the entrance area gets extremely dark, which felt concerning for safety, especially for families and women. Having only one elderly security guard also made us question whether there were adequate security arrangements. From 10:00 AM, staff called several times to remind us to check out. We’ve stayed at many resorts and never felt this kind of pressure. After several discussions with the Tamil Nadu Head, Mr. Nagaraj, he offered a voucher as compensation. We said clearly that we didn’t want a voucher and would prefer a partial refund. In my opinion, the property isn’t worth its price. The service needs to improve a lot, or the room rates need to come down substantially. This was my family’s experience, and I hope it helps others decide before booking.

My fiancé and I had a pleasant stay here and also did our pre-wedding shoot. It really felt like being on vacation, and the pool setting was lovely. Highly recommend.

The staff were courteous, friendly, and always ready to help, which made the stay comfortable. Food options were decent and fresh, with a comforting home-cooked taste that we enjoyed throughout. The plunge pool was a highlight for relaxing among the greenery. It’s a peaceful beachside resort with a calm, private feel. There are tall trees and well-designed spaces, all with a Bali-like vibe. Being by the beach added to the stay, especially at sunrise and in the evenings. A lovely spot for a quiet getaway with a tropical atmosphere.

Privacy was the best part of our relaxing getaway, and the private swimming pool was excellent to enjoy. I recently stayed at this cottage on ECR and had a very nice experience. It was beautifully maintained, very clean, and had all the modern facilities. I’d recommend it for a peaceful, memorable stay on East Coast Road.
