The room was decent and had a smart TV, and there was hot water in the bathroom. Some dirt on the flooring was manageable, but the bathroom floor itself was unclean. There were rats in the overhead space, and the room had a bad smell.

There’s a dump yard nearby, and the constant foul smell made it hard to feel comfortable or relax. The hotel’s condition was poor too: the rooms felt neglected, weren’t well maintained or hygienic, and basic cleanliness was missing. It looks nothing like the online photos, which seem old or heavily edited, and guests aren’t warned about the nearby dump yard. This was one of my worst hotel stays. It wasn’t worth the money or time, and I’d strongly advise people to avoid it if they don’t want their trip spoiled. The management clearly doesn’t care about guest experience or honesty. This place shouldn’t be called a hotel. Absolutely not recommended.

They let me check in early, which I really appreciated, and the staff were incredibly helpful. The Esquire Hotel was clean and tidy, and breakfast was very good too. A comfortable stay and a highly recommended option.

We booked two rooms for our family, unfortunately. The rooms smelled terrible, couldn’t be aired because there were no opening windows, and the bedsheets had bugs. Cockroaches were around the tea kettle too. The hotel may look good, but it wasn’t worth what we paid. Guests smoked heavily beside our room and drank, despite the stated no-smoking and no-drinking rules. The advertised free parking is only for one car, and it’s on the road, with no safety for the vehicle. We parked in front and found lots of paan spit and minor scratches on our car in the morning. I was in a hurry to leave and didn’t take a photo, otherwise I’d have gone to consumer court over their negligence. Lorries pass by because of the dump yard nearby, and bikes and cycles go past the car too. This is a bad choice if you have a private car. The receptionist acted like he owned the place and showed no respect to guests. He talked about rules, but when we asked for something, it was just “sorry sir” and so on. Don’t order from the food menu and expect it to arrive: we waited an hour, called, and only then were told the food was out of stock. Is that how they respond? Management, remove the free parking claim from booking sites or I’ll approach consumer court with other guests.
