The hotel's proximity to the airport is its only advantage. Our stay at Hotel Garden Creek Residency, Andheri East, Mumbai, was stressful and disappointing, and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone expecting fair treatment or decent hospitality. The room was in poor shape, with badly damaged furniture and visible fungus or moisture on the furniture and interiors. Maintenance was far below what I expected. We checked in around 8 AM. The male receptionist asked for ₹2500 for early check-in. I told him that on my previous visit, on 5th May, I'd checked in around 9 AM and paid ₹2000. After a long, unnecessary argument, he called the female receptionist who had been there on my earlier visit. Only then did they agree to charge ₹2000. The main issue wasn't even the money, but his rude, unprofessional manner and inability to speak politely to guests. I'd told the hotel ahead of time that my wife's flight was at 1:45 AM and that we'd check out around 10 PM. They agreed at first. Later, we got an official email from Airlines saying the flight was delayed by almost two hours. Because of that, we asked for a short extension and checked out around 12:30 AM. The receptionist then demanded another ₹1500 for roughly 2 to 2.5 extra hours, without properly explaining how the charge was calculated. I found that unreasonable and unfair. He became rude and argumentative again instead of handling it professionally. The hotel needs to improve how it treats guests, the male receptionist's professionalism, transparency around extra charges, and room maintenance and cleanliness.
