The room itself was good, but I booked a double bed and was given two singles instead. The online booking price went up, and the breakfast option disappeared after I made the reservation. There was no visible sign by the premises or even near the lift, so the hotel was difficult to find. The boys working there couldn't be relied on for help, and I couldn't find an owner or proper manager.
The rooms were clean, with housekeeping every day, and breakfast was included in the stay. It's a pleasant place for a few days in Mumbai, with parking available inside the IT park where the hotel sits. It's in Andheri East near Powai. Getting to local trains or the metro isn't very convenient, since everything is quite far away.
The breakfast was okay, but the lobby wasn't clean, and water kept leaking from the basin in our washroom all day. The notice behind the room door says the hotel administration isn't responsible if valuables like phones or laptops go missing. Apparently guests must look after their things even inside the hotel's premises. The rooms don't justify what they charge, which should be within 1000. Staff only speak Hindi or Marathi. Oyo 16001 Hotel G K Residency is at Symphony IT park, on the second floor, near Chandivali Studio in Chandivali Mumbai. It's close to the airport, but really hard to locate inside the building. I still have a week left in my stay, but I'm leaving as soon as I can. Bed bugs bit me all night, and I'm stuck in this infested room, squishing more as they come out of the headboard. I'm covered in lumps and bites and couldn't sleep a wink before a huge meeting in the morning. The staff I've spoken to are actually very nice and helpful, but it's the middle of the night and I can't leave right now. I've never had an experience like this. Absolutely disgusting.
I left for the office at 7:45 am with no breakfast, since they said it wouldn't be served until after 8. The boys were still sleeping on the floor near reception. Tea was another struggle. I asked at 4:30 pm and was told there'd be no milk until 8 pm, then after insisting, I finally got tea at 6. The next morning at 6:30, they again said everyone was asleep because they'd stayed up late. I pushed again and got tea at 7. Used linens and awful room service made this a nightmarish stay. I wanted to check out early the next day, but the amount would still be deducted, so I had no option.
