The Leela Mumbai

The old-school feel of the hotel is nice, with its solid build and marble floors everywhere. The rooms are old but well maintained, and the gym is one of the best I’ve seen around the world, with a good range of equipment for a hotel gym. We got a pleasant surprise when the bill came with a 50% discount, and I’d recommend the 6 degree bar for a few drinks. The staff’s attitude was the main downside. They felt like government office employees from the 90s, and there seemed to be too many people stationed in the lobby loo to assist. They also messed up our pool-view booking, then said we’d been upgraded to a higher category, but it didn’t feel special. Overall, though, we had a nice stay.

We were in a Royal Club suite on the 7th floor for two weeks, and the service was great throughout. The room was cleaned daily, the sheets were fresh, and the water was kept well stocked. The room looked a little dated, but the bed was comfortable and we slept well. We enjoyed the food at Jamavar and looked forward to breakfast each morning, especially because Jia always welcomed us with a smile. The gym was clean and well maintained, and its supervisor was very helpful. Mr Williams, the pianist, was kind and entertaining and added a lot to the experience. We’d happily return and recommend it as a convenient stay near Mumbai Airport.

Even though it was peak Christmas weekend and the hotel was fully booked, things were managed so well that it never felt crowded. The staff were consistently warm and kind, and the service was impeccable. I especially liked the breakfast spread. From my room, the pool view and lush greenery around the spacious poolside made me forget I was in Bombay. Thanks to managers Akshit and Abhishek for all their help. It was a really pleasant staycation.

The airport is close by, yet the hotel feels tranquil, with lush surroundings and a serene pool area. It works well for business or leisure, and the amenities are excellent. Dining offers a wide selection of delicious Indian and international dishes, with an especially impressive breakfast spread. The staff are courteous, attentive, and ready to go the extra mile. The spacious rooms are beautifully designed and very clean, and the grand decor makes you feel special as soon as you arrive. The Leela Mumbai brings together luxury, comfort, and warm hospitality. I’d highly recommend it for a five-star stay in Mumbai.
